Taste of Home is America’s #1 cooking magazine that celebrates home recipes shared by family cooks from across the country. These are some of the print & digital marketing materials I created for the brand.

▾ Sizzle Reel ▾

This is a promotional video that I scripted, selected video snippets for and helped art direct. The goal was to create a 1-minute or less promo video for our ad sales team to use in securing more advertisers. We blended our own videos with stock footage to create a branded reel that sells the main benefits of Taste of Home and tells the story of why millions of families have trusted this brand for over 30 years.

This is a Facebook ad that focuses on the main benefits found inside the magazine. The goal was to increase subscription sales by showcasing spreads from the most current issue that were visually appealing.

▾ Test Kitchen Tips Ad ▾

The goal of this ad was to create an evegreen promotions that could be used throughout the year to help sell magazine subs via Facebook. I selected the tips to be featured in this video and wrote the captions.

Direct Response Package ▸

This is a package I wrote for the relaunch of Taste of Home magazine. We positioned the magazine as “Bigger & Better” than ever before.

▾ Free Issue Ad

This is an ad I concepted and wrote to promote a free issue of Taste of Home. I wanted to visually entice the customer by giving them a glimpse of all the deliciousness inside the magazine. So, we used a juicy burger photo and paid it off with just one word…YUM!

▾ Brand Story Ad

With this ad, my design partner and I wanted copy & design to work together to really showcase the story of the brand—comfort food shared by a community of cooks. We chose a hearty mac & cheese dish to grab the customer’s eye and mixed different font treatments to give the copy points a playful look.

◂ Blow-in Card

This is an insert card I created for a free issue offer. My idea was to pick an enticing image to play off the copy.

This high-performing card is still in circulation 8 years after its creation.
